My Mom on her 16th birthday, 1957
ETA: People are curious about the style of dress. It is called a sarong dress and was all the rage in the mid fifties after Dorothy Lamour wore one in The Road to Bali”. Also, Mom is holding a bikini top on over the bodice to be silly. There are other photos of that night without the bikini top. I surmise she received the bikini as a gift and was showing it off.
She always had the most dazzling smile.

Perversely wish the FB gods would ban me, anyone else? Let’s just burn it down.
Does anyone else feel like it wouldn’t be the worst thing if the bots closed their account? I know I could just remove myself but I think I’m too weak to do that 🤣 and I own a slightly popular group (not huge, just around 2k) that I would never intentionally want to lose. But if FB did it, I would secretly be happy I think.

We booked a place that says it has a king suite and specifically says it has a king size bed along with two other bedrooms that have a queen bed. There is no king bed. The room that is supposed to have a king bed according to the listing has what is closer to a full size bed, maybe a queen? But definitely not a king. I make it a point to only book stays that have a king bed. We texted the host and they said they would look into updating the listing and left it at that. Do we have any recourse?
