2002 Cross Check

Recently picked up this super cool Bean Green 56cm 2002 Cross Check & I just thought I'd share it on here!

I paid $140 for it from someone on FB marketplace & it was set up as a single speed with some cheapo parts on it, so I dug thru my parts bins & built it up as an all-rounder.. which is what the CC is best for, IMO!

The wheels are 36h Bontrager Fairlanes with an asymmetrical rear hoop, Shimano LX M570 hubs & DT Swiss Champion spokes with Ultradynamico Rosé 700x42?? tires

I did a 2x8 drivetrain with a Sram 8-speed 11 - 32t cassette, 170mm Surly Mr Whirly crankset, 44 - 29t chainrings, FSA mega-exo bottom bracket, OG Suntour XC-II pedals, Shimano XT M739 derailleurs, Shimano HG-71 chain, Suntour XC-Pro thumb shifters & Jagwire ss cables

Brooks B17 Imperial saddle (very well worn & super comfy)

Thomson Elite stem & seatpost, Surly Sunrise bars, Avid Shorty Ultimate canti brakes with Kool-Stop pads, Ritchey Logic levers, Paul Funky Monkey front cable hanger & ODI Longneck grips

I think the only thing left on it from when I originally got it is the headset, which I will be swapping out soon because it's a little worse for wear.. pretty sure it's actually original to the bike. It's a Cane Creek C2

I still need to make a frame bag for it & I'd also like to install a front rack & a set of fenders

She rides excellent & everything actually works really well together!!

1992 Schwinn Paramount

Any idea what I should ask for this??

It's a 58cm 1992 Schwinn Paramount series 3 PDG with a full Shimano 6400/600 Ultegra 2x8 Tri-color groupset

It originally had a Shimano RX100 group, which will also go with it jic someone wants to put it back to original

The 600 Tri-color parts are in absolute mint condition... they came from a 1992 Trek 2300 that had just under 200 miles on it & something fell on it where it was stored & cracked the composite frame

I know, it's filthy right now, but I'll give it a good cleaning & a tune-up before posting it for sale

The wheels haven't been ridden on since being tensioned & trued.. They're Alex TA19 rims with DT Swiss Champion spokes

It'll also have new cables, new chain, new tires & tubes, and bar tape

So, it's pretty much a series 7 PDG with the Shimano 600 groupset .. AFAIK, the only difference between the series 3 & series 7 was the components that were on them... same frame & frame material... someone, please correct me if I'm wrong
