I built a desktop app to organize my travel photos on a world map — try it free

I've been traveling for years and always had the same problem: thousands

of photos scattered across folders with no way to see them geographically.

Google Photos doesn't do this. So I built it myself.

Photo World Archive is a Windows desktop app that lets you:

- Pin photos to countries and US states on an interactive map

- Tag each photo with city and date

- See your world coverage stats by continent and year

- Everything stored locally — no cloud, no account, no subscription

It's free to try (up to 5 countries and 30 photos). Pro is a one-time

$4.99 unlock for unlimited everything.

Download: Look for it on Gumroad "Photo World Archive"

Built with Electron + React + D3. Happy to answer any questions.

Stone Sentinel: A Fortified Cross Watches Over Valencia's Coast

This weathered defensive tower has stood guard over Valencia for centuries, its cylindrical form a testament to Spain's medieval maritime heritage. The cross crowning its summit and the Catalan flag flying proud at its base tell the story of a city shaped by faith and sovereignty. Those defensive apertures? Built to repel, not welcome. Shot on a brilliant May afternoon—the kind of light that makes 500-year-old stone glow.

Caught the sunrise over Teotihuacan

Floating above the pyramids at dawn, surrounded by balloons — felt like I could almost touch the sun.
