I have bought a replacement cat but it’s for a 99-01 car and mine is a 2007 AP1 facelift. I knew this cat was different from the original when I bought it. My question is, if I fit this earlier style cat to my 2007 car with an original and correct for my car post cat O2 sensor, will I get an engine light because the cat is not the same as my original 07 cat?

I went out to my Honda this morning to find out that the cat had been chopped off and stolen in the night. Unfortunately for me I just put an Invidia q300 on 3 days ago and that has been chopped as a result as well as the end of the manifold.
My choices are either get a pipe welded on from the manifold to the Midpipe and it be decat OR buy a cat and weld that on.
I am not going through insurance as I don’t want to raise my premiums, so getting a new exhaust and manifold that way is something I don’t really want to do.
Is there anyone here running q300 and test pipe, and is it too noisy and droney?
How does it affect the sound?
Also will I need it mapping at all if it was decat or if I got a sports cat?
