I saw a video of in Africa they dig Hal-moons into the sand to pool water and for a place for seeds to take root was there anything the indigenous Shoshone or Paiute of Nevada or Great Basin area did like this or was the area too dry so everyone just traveled right through??
I was watching a thing of how in Africa they dug half-moons in the ground to hold water and for plants to grow and it got me wondering if the Shoshone or Paiute of north/central Nevada did anything like that in the area or were they exclusively nomadic. Any sources would help thanks
