Missy Cat doesn’t get far from her mansion too often (other than in the middle of the night when she wants food) .. but tonight, she’s up in my lap letting me give her all the love!!!

I never imagined when Missy Cat was given to me at roughly 6-8 weeks old, we'd still be doing life together 22 years later.
As she was growing up, I can't say I was the best about vet visits and check up's. She ate dry food and would have trips to the vet whenever I could see something was 'off'.
We recently found out she was in a little kidney trouble, so we've switched over to KD food (with urgent care food on standby when she decides she doesn't want to eat) .. She doesn't eat much, so she gets food every few hours when I'm home. The 'while I'm at work' routine has been a bit of a challenge - trying to figure out how to keep the food cold, but I'm doing the best I can. Ice bags, double stacked stainless steel bowls (all of which is kept in the freezer over night for extra coldness) .. it's a whole thing - but we're rocking it out.
She gets her sub q fluid each night around 8, along with her prednisolone to help with inflammation and her little hips. Once a week she gets a small bit of B12 with her fluids. She doesn't run anymore, and she's slow when she walks (or waddles rather) .. but she *isn't done letting me love her.
Because she doesn't 'get around' like she used to .. she has a Mansion .. Missy's Mansion as we call it. She got her food in there, her low entry DIY litter box (picture the Thanksgiving and Christmas silver turkey / dressing cooking pans but with only a 1' side) ... She's got blankets stacked on blankets stacked on blankets for her little bones, and a pet safe heating pad. She's got 4 cameras on her so that I can watch her ALL day while I'm not home (best investment ever!!!) I've even got one set up inside her mansion so that I can see when she goes potty. She's really good about getting her front feet and her back feet in the little box, but sometimes she forgets to scoot forward, therefore her little hinny is outside the box - but, no worries, I have puppy pads set up around the box just in case!!
When we went to the vet in June, her SDMA was pretty high .. 24. Her other levels were a little off, but the SDMA is what stood out the most to me (which is how I remember it) .. I had her blood work done exactly a month later and its gone down to 13. The vet told me her phosphate's looked really good so no need to introduce any binders, *but to keep doing the fluids each day.
This is 100% my soul cat .. I've had her since she was 6-8 weeks old. I got her little paws tattooed on me many years ago ...

Finally found the shaving cream, dryer sheets, and antibacterial wipes. I also found the gel air freshener - I opened it and put it in my car on the way home, it seems a little faint, but we’ll see in due time.
This was my first time to get the hair masks. I googled the picture before I got it and saw all the positive reviews here. I knew you guys talked about really liking one, I just couldn’t remember which one. I’m a big fan of the Kokie setting powder but I see a lot of talk of the MC as well, so I grabbed a couple just to compare. This is also my first grab on these dermasil products, but I feel like I see so many positive reviews on it here, so again, why not?! LoL.
Any chance I get to add to my Hydro Plus face care I jump on it .. I very much like this line.

Today’s pickups!! The tooth pastes/oral hygiene care are all new for me, so I’m excited to try them!! I’m a HUGE fan of the power stick ‘Amber Rouge’ scent, most definitely one of my favorites so I always grab the spray deodorant and body/hair mist! The Honey Drip Body Milk lotion was new for me as well .. I actually like the scent and the texture of it!! Was able to grab a couple more of the body butters in the 2 scents I like, so that was a win.
Im gonna go ahead and quote Ice Cube and say ‘Today was a good day’ 😂🥰

Just a little update on the tenant that was trying to take up residence on my forehead rent free 3 days before my son’s graduation party! Thursday night I went to the urgent care because I was freaking out. The Dr there said it was not a cyst, or MRSA, or staff, or anything that could be drained or lanced. He told me to keep taking my clindamycin and it would be ok to add prednisone (which was good because I had already started it - Google said I could to help with the swelling) .. I also found a fun little way to hold an ice ‘bag’ on there with my sparkly headband - lol 🤍
I was not sure I was 100% sold on what the ER Dr told me so Friday morning I went to the dermatologist. He said all of the exact same things the ER Dr said. He did have a pretty cool super magnifier he could use to see layers of the skin. He took a picture of what he could see with my phone and showed me. There was obviously swollen tissue… He used a fancy word that started with an E, but unfortunately, I cannot remember what it was. He could not give me an injection because he could not find the root of the issue but he did give me a steroid cream that’s basically the equivalent. He said it was likely some kind of blemish that was super inflamed for whatever reason. He had no reason to believe it had anything to do with the Botox… And did not find it necessary for me to schedule a follow up appointment unless it was not getting better. Thank goodness, it does not look like I will have to go back! I do have a little bruise, probably from messing with it in the early stages. Live and learn right??
