A Genuine Hypothetical Question for Assyrians
A genuine question for Assyrians: If, hypothetically, future historical and genetic evidence conclusively demonstrated that the modern Assyrian identity was mistaken and that your ancestors were instead primarily Armenian, would you accept that conclusion and embrace an Armenian identity? Or would you continue identifying as Assyrian because it has become your nation’s and community’s identity regardless of ancestry?
**Update:**Guys, I only used “Armenian” as an example. Why did this suddenly turn into a confusion
in the comments? 😂😂 I’ll change it to “Chinese” instead.
