Getting canceled Hawaiian award flights redeposited
I’ve had to cancel a bunch of award flight bookings I’ve had recently. I’m positive that I had at least 30-40k more than 100k miles before I canceled round trip flights to Australia. These flights were worth 140,000. I’m currently showing 240,000 miles in my account. (I also had to cancel a few other smaller flights which has added to the confusion). My points activity shows the Hawaiian flights “redeposited” right next to the day I booked them. I swear they can’t have been though.
You may say, well they take time to post. Then they really shouldn’t say redeposited yet if they haven’t been. And it also bothers me because awhile back I called about a Hawaiian leg I had canceled (I was looking for miles I didn’t see in my account) and they said “oh yeah it back dates to when you booked the flight”. This is true but it makes it very hard to determine if you actually got the miles back unless you’re keeping a constant monitor on your miles. Now I’m wondering if I ever even got those!
Anyone else running into this with Hawaiian flights through Alaska? I haven’t had any problems with my Alaska Airlines operated flights.
