NHTSA Administrators push for automatic high beams to solve the issue of headlight glare. I do recommend calling your congressman at this point and pushing for HR. 7772 to limit headlight brightness on new build cars.

F-14B of VF-102 Diamondbacks carrying the TARPS loadout. Happy Tomcat Tuesday!

The TARPS pod was a reconnaissance tool that included multiple cameras that included a low altitude panoramic camera and IR night sensor. It allowed the F-14 to carry out reconnaissance such as oblique photography and pre and post damage assessments. Also maritime ship surveillance was another capability. This combined with the Tomcat's extensive integrated sensor suite meant that little to nothing escaped its eyes. TARPS was used right up until the F-14's retirement and replacement by a dedicated F-18 variant. One can only imagine how something modern like sensor fusion would've enhanced its mission capabilities.

E-motos/dirtbikes on Mount Vernon Trail

Has anyone noticed the large number of electric motorcycles/e-mopeds/straight up gas pit bikes on the trail recently? Motor vehicles aren't allowed on the trail, and they speed dangerously. Who do we even talk to about this?
