Advice please: Purchased my first quad for £100

I purchased my first quad as untested spares/repairs to try and get it working. Managed to grab this Nazgul for ~£100 with an air unit which seems pretty great!

The seller didn’t know much about quads, but knew what it was the Nazgul, not currently working and was happy to let it go for cheap as long as it would go to a good home (a relative passed away and they were selling their possessions).

Yesterday it arrived so spent the day working on it and I believe I’ve got everything up and running - but I’d like to fit a GPS - theres a shielded copper cable that wasn’t attached to anything (it came with GPS and receiver missing).

  1. What is this cable likely to be used for? Should I use the shielded cable for the GPS? Does it matter?

  2. I’ve currently configured the drone for a DJI transmitter - should I install something like ELRS?

  3. Is it worth “tuning” the drone? Will it make a difference?

  4. The drone comes with LED strips built in - only the front side of these work (they’re on the arms, sides, and front). I don’t know much about electronics but if I swap the leds over to the other side of the board the same LEDs will work (suggesting the strip itself is broken?) Does anyone have advice on how to fix this?

Thanks!
