Help: first ride with a Karoo, frustrated and disappointed
I went to Karoo specifically due to positive comments on navigation. I went off-route three times yesterday at complex intersections. Any help on working around these issues would be appreciated.
1st issue: (see first 2 pics) The cues cover up the map with no representation of 'me' or the surrounding roads and giving me no practical map information. Do I have this setup wrong? How is this at all helpful? Why doesn't it adjust the map to show "me" in the visible section?
2nd issue: the screen doesn't adjust to the radar overlay (3rd pic), it just covers whatever is under it. Minor issue in the picture but it also covers up the cue data when that pops up - obscuring the start of the street name and the turn graphic (no pic on this as that would have been unsafe). The last thing I want when I'm glancing down when approaching a busy intersection is confusing data and having to guess what information is hidden under the overlay.
3rd issue (more of a nit): Coming from wahoo, when all cars have passed and the radar is clear wahoo emits an 'all clear' audible sound. This was very helpful as I could focus on the road and not need to keep checking the computer or mirror while I was waiting for the cars to pass, and just re-check the mirror when the 'all clear' sounded. This seems to be missing on the karoo - is there an option to turn this on?
