Support told me they issued a hotfix at about 3pm EST and you need to ensure your device booted up after that time and is connected to WiFi and it should get the patch. It’s not an update so you won’t see a new version

This morning I updated to KAROO SOFTWARE BUILD VERSION: 1.658.2535. On the drive afterward, the GPS keeps cutting out after about an hour, and the only way to fix the problem is to restart the device.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Checking to see if anyone has had any similar GPS issues after yesterday’s update.

Multiple times mid-ride today, my Karoo 3 went into searching for GPS. Whats weird though, is I had a route loaded, and despite it saying no GPS connection - I was still accurately following the route on the map screen. I was not receiving any credit for the miles however. Other sensors (power meter, varia) worked fine.

The only solution I had mid ride was the restart the device. Upon resuming the in progress ride, GPS would work again for awhile before getting stuck in the connection lost mode. First time I’ve seen this and it was right after yesterday’s update.

Update: 3 rides now with this issue! Last one lost GPS every 20 minutes or so. Reboot is the only way to maybe fix it (doesnt work immediately every time for me)

This morning, after working flawlessly since I purchased it about six months ago, my Karoo 3 just stopped recording speed and distance mid ride. This happened three times and the only fix I could find was to reboot it each time. The device is not linked to a speed sensor, just uses GPS. It is linked to a power meter but always has been and never had any problems previously - I think power might still have been recording, cant remember. the unit is in great condition and has been totally babied all its life! Any thoughts?

Hi! I’m about three months into using my Karoo for road training/racing/fast group rides. I’m coming from a Gen 2 Wahoo Roam, and the Karoo is an upgrade in all ways. The only thing I miss, though, is a displayed “estimated time to arrival” for identified climbs (either in the climb drawer or on a dedicated climbing data page), and also for Strava segments - in the Strava drawer, I see elapsed time, the profile, and my PR displayed as a total finish time. The Wahoo displays an estimated time to finish the climb (listed as time remaining in the climb section, and listed as an estimated total time for the Strava segment). This was helpful to me, as my brain really likes having an idea of how much more suffering is in front of me. Is there any way to add this to Karoo? I’ve looked pretty thoroughly through the data page and drawer options but haven’t found what I’m looking for.

I have had all working on my karoo 3.

Hammerhead App, paired phone and all. I could manage my Mediaplayer while cycling.

For some reason it does not work anymore. All should be updated, i see the paired phone on the karoo.

The online manual says to give permissions for android phones, which i did.

I use the karoo 3, a android phone and quobuz as music player. Nothing obvious has changed since it once worked. Help?

Edit: got it working again. I fiddlet with notifications on my phone and the app and suddenly it would work. Honestly i dont know what i did differntly this time.
