29M with horizontal medial meniscus tear — looking for rehab/exercise advice and experiences

Title: 29M with horizontal medial meniscus tear — looking for rehab/exercise advice and experiences
Hi everyone,
I’m 29M and fairly active. I used to run regularly and also do road cycling.
I recently had an MRI of my right knee because of pain, and the report says:
Horizontal tear in the body and posterior horn of the medial meniscus
Tear extends up to the meniscocapsular surface
Mild knee joint effusion
Grade-I signal change in the upper 1/3 of the MCL
ACL and PCL intact
Lateral meniscus normal
Articular cartilage appears normal
Bones and surrounding muscles/tendons are reported as normal
I don’t have a complete ligament injury or obvious cartilage damage.
My main questions are:
Has anyone had a similar horizontal medial meniscus tear and recovered without surgery?
What exercises helped you most?
Is it safe to start with quad sets, straight-leg raises, bridges, side-lying hip abduction, calf raises and single-leg balance?
When is it appropriate to progress to squats, step-ups and single-leg exercises?
Can I continue easy/flat road cycling, or should I wait until the pain and swelling completely settle?
How long did it take you to return to running?
Are there any exercises or movements I should definitely avoid with this type of tear?
If you’ve had conservative treatment, what did your rehab program look like?
I’m particularly interested in experiences from people with a similar MRI finding, especially those who were able to return to running/cycling without surgery.
I’m also planning to consult an orthopaedic/sports-knee specialist and physiotherapist, so I’m looking for personal experiences and exercise ideas rather than replacing medical advice.
Running was my love,I cant do it now,Help please
Thanks!

Senior Citizen Lost ₹27,700+ in TDS Refunds Due to Missed ITRs – Any Way to Recover Them? ⭐ (

Hi everyone,
I’m seeking advice regarding my mother’s income tax refunds.
She is a senior citizen (DOB: 15 June 1960).
FY 2024-25 (AY 2025-26):
SBI FD interest: ~₹1.90 lakh
TDS deducted under Section 194A: ₹19,005
Her total taxable income was below the taxable limit, so the TDS should be fully refundable.
Unfortunately, the ITR was never filed.
Previous year (AY 2024-25):
Around ₹8,700 TDS was also deducted on FD interest.
That refund was also never claimed because the ITR wasn’t filed.
From what I understand, the normal time for filing these returns has expired, and the only possible route seems to be Section 119(2)(b) (Condonation of Delay).
However, when I log in to the Income Tax portal, I only see “Delay in submission of ITR-V” under Condonation Requests. I do not see the option to request permission to file a time-barred ITR.
My questions:
Has anyone successfully claimed refunds under Section 119(2)(b) for one or more old assessment years?
Does the department allow claiming refunds for multiple assessment years (around ₹8.7k for one year and ₹19k for another), or does each year require a separate application?
Has anyone had a similar case involving a senior citizen with only bank FD interest income?
What reasons were accepted as “genuine hardship”?
Is the online option missing for everyone, or did you have to approach the jurisdictional PCIT/CIT manually?
How long did the approval and refund process take?

Bought a Firefox Pirate 3.0 for ₹38k and completed my first 43 km ride – was it worth it?

Hi everyone,
I’m 30 years old and just bought a Firefox Pirate 3.0 (700c) for ₹38,000. Today I completed my first long ride of 43 km, and honestly I’m pretty excited about it.
A little background:
I used to cycle regularly only till around 7th–8th grade.
After that I completely stopped cycling for almost 15+ years.
In recent years I’ve mostly been a runner and have completed a half marathon.
However, I’m dealing with some knee issues in one knee, so I’m planning to reduce my running volume and include more cycling.
A few questions for experienced cyclists:
Was the Firefox Pirate 3.0 a good buy at ₹38k?
As a beginner returning to cycling after so many years, should I ride daily or on alternate days?
How many kilometers per week would you recommend initially?
Is it realistic to go from a first 43 km ride to comfortably riding 90 km by next year?
My long-term goal is to possibly attempt an Ironman 70.3 in the future. Is this bike sufficient to start training, or would I eventually need to upgrade?
For reference:
Height: 180 cm (5’11”)
Weight: 92 kg
Regular runner trying to transition into a mix of running and cycling.
Any advice on training, bike fit, comfort, nutrition, or avoiding common beginner mistakes would be appreciated.
