Pawn shops specifically for antique pocket watches? Trying to locate stolen heirloom

As the title says — I recently realized my great-grandfather’s gold Elgin pocket watch from the 1800s was missing from my office cubicle in Lower Manhattan. I only recently had it there since May into June.

Once I realized it was missing I filed a police report with a short description and the serial number. In addition to that, I’ve scoured Ebay, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist and OfferUp and set up notifications in case it pops up. But I still feel sick every time I think about it, and I’m desperate to do more. I know NYPD has some sort of database and notification for this sort of thing, but I’m totally willing to hit up pawnshops and other places it might have ended up at.

So, does anyone have any recommendations? I know there are maybe countless pawnshops in the city, and near my office, but are there some that specialize in this kind of antique? The engraving on the back is unique and it has some unique damage and wear that I have picture-proof of, so I’m confident that if I saw it again I could instantly confirm it’s mine.

Any other recommendations on what and how to search for this watch is welcome! Very little is futile at this point.
