I honestly never thought I’d have to make a Reddit post about this, but I genuinely don’t know what else to do now.

I took admission in LPU, but unfortunately my father passed away on 24 May 2026. Because of the situation at home after that, I had to withdraw from my course and request a refund.

I started the withdrawal process and there was an issue with the withdrawal date initially. I contacted LPU about it, and the withdrawal date was eventually corrected to 11 June 2026.

After that, I continued with the refund process and submitted the required details. My bank details were accepted on 14 July 2026.

I kept waiting for the refund.

Then I received communication from LPU saying that my refund had been approved and that I should receive it within 15–20 working days.

So I waited.

The 15–20 working days passed, but I still didn’t receive the refund.

I followed up with LPU again.

And this is where it gets ridiculous.

Every time I follow up, I basically get the same “15–20 working days” response again.

Not an actual update on where my refund is.

Not a proper explanation for the delay.

Not a clear date by which I’ll receive it.

Just the same 15–20 working days.

I have emailed them multiple times and followed up repeatedly. I have also raised complaints because I genuinely didn’t know what else I was supposed to do.

It has now been months since I started this process.

The most frustrating part is that I’m not asking them for anything extra. This is a refund of money I had already paid to the university. I understand that refunds can take time, but if you have already told me 15–20 working days and that period has passed, then repeating the same timeline every time I ask for an update is not really a solution.

I’m honestly exhausted from chasing this.

LPU can respond when it comes to admissions, promotions and university rankings, but when a student is waiting for their money, getting an actual answer seems impossible.

If anyone here has gone through an LPU refund issue, especially one where they kept repeating the 15–20 working days timeline, please tell me what you did and whether you eventually received your refund.

I genuinely just want my money back and a proper answer.

\- Which hostel mess actually has the best food according to you?
\- How’s the food honestly?

Wanted to know if any other girls are also joining the same course or planning to stay in 4 seater non-AC 👀

So basically, I was planning to take the 5-seater AC hostel, but unfortunately it’s either full or maybe the website hasn’t been updated yet because I can’t see the 5-seater option anymore. When I asked one of the ma’ams who helped me through the admission process, she told me it’s full.

Now I’m thinking of either taking a 6-seater Non-AC room or a 4-seater non-AC room. Could you please suggest which one would be better in terms of room environment and roommates?

Mostly due to some budget issue I would prefer 6 seater but if the environment is an issue then I can even take 4 seater

Due to budget reasons, I’m leaning more towards the 6-seater option. However, I’m concerned about the overall room environment, noise level, cleanliness, privacy, and roommate experience.

Is the 6-seater manageable for studying and daily routine?
Does the 4-seater feel significantly better overall?
