Query regarding girls hostel vs apartment

For context, I took admission in B.Tech CSEE and opted for a hostel (2-seater with AC). I’ve already paid the fees btw, but now I’m coming across posts on Reddit saying apartments are better than hostel rooms. Is that true? If yes, is there any way I can change it now? 😭🥀

Also, on what basis will I get my roommate? Will she be in the same course????

And if anyone else is joining LPU, don’t hesitate to hmu, I’m genuinely really nervous 😭😭🙏

Defamation

A student in my section was clicking my photos from 2 semesters continously without my permission & when I sent him a mail, he started defaming me in the class whatsapp group so that he becomes a hero. I did that request just to get his email & he says that Kunal didn't like it. I would like to hereby bodly firmly announce that, I will not tolerate any nonsense any longer now I will react with appropriate channels and proper evidences.

I'll not care whether it's a Proffesor supporting him or someone with political connections. If I'm innocent then I'll proof myself innocent no matter how much you bully me how much you harras me.

Shit scared for attendance

CSE331: 57%

CSE332: 36%

CSE009: 79%

INT221: 43%

INT377: 35%

PEIS08: 100%

PES319: 100%

Overall: 65%

One of my friends told me that, min 60% REQUIRED per subject to be eligible to sit in ete/etp.

3 of my subjects won't even touch 50% even if attend all classes till last day. At Max. they can go till ~45%

Previous sem attendance: 98%

Am I safe?

Got my LPUNEST 2026 results (Category-D). Should I reappear to get a better scholarship bracket?

Hey everyone,

I just received my LPUNEST-2026 results today. I scored a total of 37/100 and qualified for the Category-D cutoff.

Here is my subject-wise breakdown:

English: 9.00 / 20.00

Biology: 18.00 / 40.00

Computer Science: 10.00 / 40.00

The result says I am eligible for a 10% to 30% scholarship per semester depending on the programme and admission date.

I have a couple of questions for LPU seniors or anyone familiar with the process:

Is a Category-D scholarship usually enough to significantly lower the financial burden, or should I definitely aim higher?

If I reappear for the exam to try and hit Category-A or B, and somehow score lower than 37, will LPU consider my best score or the latest one? (I've heard they consider the best of two, but just want to confirm).

Any tips on how to quickly improve my score in Computer Science and English for the next attempt?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Urgent !!! Help Me Regarding Admission

My counselor told me that May 20 is the last date to avail the scholarship. They said that I should confirm my admission by paying ₹10,000, otherwise I won’t get the scholarship benefits later. Is this true?

Helped a friend cheat, now overthinking

We had to complete a MOOC course as part of CA, I did one from Coursera, my friend didn't do anything and said to me at last moment that Sir has uploaded your marks so can you change the name on your certificate to my name so I changed the account name and he also got the marks, I regretted that decision later and decided not to do that again, now I have a habit of overthinking and thought to myself what if in future I refused to help my friend and he blackmails me by saying that he would complain to teacher that I helped him cheat in MOOC course in previous semester to screw me up.

So my question is after semester is over and marks are uploaded if someone complains that he or she helped them cheat or cheated themselves can marks of that course changed again ?

Taking admission this year?

If anyone here is planning to take admission in LPU this year and has NOT yet paid the admission fee / finalized admission, you can DM me regarding the LPU referral benefit system.

LPU has a referral policy where students can refer incoming admissions and receive reward points that can later be converted into cash benefits. If your admission is still eligible under the policy, we can split the referral benefit 50-50.

I’ll also help with admission-related doubts, hostel queries, scholarships, campus info, etc., if needed.

Admission query

I am thinking about admission. I did not have high expectations from LPU. One of my relatives is working in philips. She told me that 4 students from LPU are doing internship in her company at 45k/month and PPO is 11LPA.

One of the students told that the placement was on campus and even companies like microsoft and amazon visit the campus every year.

It is kind of hard for me to believe as I personally thought that at max companies offering 12LPA visit the campus, all good placements are off campus. But the comment from this student (at philips) kind of shocked me...

Is this true? Because amazon and microsoft packages easily go upto 20LPA+

Stressed about attendance and detention notification

Greetings everyone, I'm a 3rd yr student of B.A. LL.B., due to minor inconveniences and some medical conditions, I wasn't able to cover the attendance criteria properly this semester, so far, this is the 1st time I have got so low attendance, and since 1st sem I have no records of indiscipline(UMC)(major or minor). I have not received notification whether I will be detained for this semester or not(on both ums and touch), even when I check the ums datesheet, all my exams there are in the upcoming section, none of them are in detention or not allowed grp.

Should I worry, or should I study??

Honest feedback needed on B.Tech CSE placements and culture. Brutal honesty only...

I recently took admission at Lpu for B.Tech CSE. Before joining, I thought it was a decent option, but lately, I’ve been scrolling through Reddit and now I am absolutely spiraling.

Almost every post I see about LPU is filled with extreme negativity. People are saying the faculty is terrible, the infrastructure is hyped up but bad in reality, and that choosing this college was the worst decision of their lives.

I knew it wasn't an iit or a toptier college going in. Im realistic. But seeing so many people say that placements are nonexistent or incredibly low is genuinely terrifying me. My parents are investing a lot of money into this, and I am regreting thinking I just wasted their hardearned money.

I want to know the absolute, unfiltered truth from seniors or passouts:

  • How hard is it actually to get a decent placement ( 6–8 LPA+) in CSE if you actually put in the work? *is the crowd so massive that it’s impossible to stand out?

*Is the management and faculty really as unbearable as people make it out to be?

*What should I start doing from Day 1 to ensure I don't end up unemployed? *Should I completely rely on off-campus placements?

Please give me some honest feedback. I’m in a lot of confusion and anxiety right now.
