Trade in?

Sent in my device since it was valued at $720. Well after they reviewed it, they offered only $135 due to “dents greater than 5mm on housing”. Am I crazy or do I not see anything like that? Sides are almost in perfect condition.

Edit: Someone on another post suggested reaching out for the pictures. The phone was partially bent like a taco and apple is doing a damage in transit, pending my photos.

Broken display

I reached out to ReMarkable for a crack in my ReMarkable Pro display. The support I got was basically that they don’t do any repairs and I’d be better off just buying a refurbished device. They didn’t provide any support or help with if they do trade-in’s either.

Does anyone have info? This seems very odd that a $600+ device can’t be repaired.

Backpacking etiquette

I started backpacking in Idaho where you could pick a direction and camp anywhere you wanted, no permit required. Now in Colorado, I feel like you need a permit to overnight anywhere and off-trail isn’t allowed.

I enjoy the trails in Rocky Mountain National Park, but it’s been impossible to get a permit. Anytime I am on North Fork (very close and the dog loves it), campsites are wide open even though they’re “sold out” online.

Any advice with campsites? Would I be an asshole to overnight without a permit if it’s empty?

Edit: thank you all for the responses! Love all of the thoughtful answers. I would probably be an asshole if I did it or at least have an embarrassing moment. I’ll start venturing into national forests instead.

Off road jumping

So I bought an InMotion V14 and after 300 miles, I started venturing into off roading. After another 200 miles, technical downhill trails are usually pretty decent (where I live, electrics are allowed on some trails and bike parks before y’all flame me). On some harder blues, I have to step off every once in a while.

Now I’m getting into bike parks and am stuck on some pretty steep step up jumps. I’m assuming it’s because I’m leaning forward into it to get speed. I land and the V14 balances so quickly that I get thrown off forward. This isn’t an issue with 60 degree or less jumps.

Is there any riding I’m already doing that would help apply some skills to those steeper jumps? Am I just changing speeds last minute and causing my own demise? Or am I just a degen and EUCs aren’t meant for that steep of jumps?

So I have an InMotion V14S and I’m running into a cell balancing issue.

Every single time I leave my EUC off for more than 3 days, it will pull back on me and say cell balancing issue (low voltage on a single cell). I have to plug it back in no matter if I just fully charged it to 100%. Sometimes I’ll get to 50% before it happens, other times it happens right at 100%.

No luck with InMotion and I was hoping someone else had a solution. Thanks!
