I'm trying to figure it out, but It always helps to actually get advice, So those who have published mods, how tf do I do it??

DOKI LOVERS RISE UP!!

This mod will be for lovers of all doki's, every shape and color!! This is just some bits, so I can show you something to get you excited! The Prologue's hour runtime will stand as the begining to this Doki Doki universe of my own careful creation, So I hope you enjoy!! Next post will be the download and playing, so all I ask is for your attention until it comes to fruition!

This will be (hopefully) one of the last logs until the HOUR LONG PROLOGUE WILL BE RELEASED!!!
I will be making a follow up post after this with teasers for the entire mod story! I'll be honest, this has been so fun, I did this on a whim, but I am loving the process and seeing you all even upvote my Logs once is absolutely exhilarating! I hope the mod I write will make you happy, because it will be my first "professional" writing ever put to public!
Now, for what you may have been waiting for, a breakdown of what to expect from the story!!

DOKI DOKI: FANGS OF PASSION

Mc, living alone after unfortunate circumstances befalling his family, has been forced to undergo is vampiric coming of age alone. Determined to make his life worth more than simply being a creature controlled by hunger and the night, he goes to the academy to find a club to join. Meeting the four lovely women of the Literature club, bit by bit, MC will discover that his future doesn't have to be determined by what he is!
All of our beloved Doki's are going to have almost completely original stories, focused on the worldbuilding that defines their personalities and how the story plays out. With two endings per Doki, I hope to give you hours of storylines that anyone can enjoy, despite their Doki preference! But alas, I am alone in this endeavor. Currently, despite if the prologues release is a success or a flop, I intend to continue developing it. I have made a patreon for those who want behind the scenes stuff or how I intend to write the story. All funds from which will fuel getting CG's and voice cues done. This is my first mod, and I intend to make it my best experience, for me and you all! I also intend to make a Discord for those who want to constantly be a part of the journey! But, after all this yap, all I have to say is thank you, Truly. Doki Doki Literature Club and you all are the only reason I can do this, and you have my infinite gratitude!

Also, unfortunately, I will be returning to employment, so it's more than likely these posts will return to being once a week. Regardless, I still hope to put out the full hour long prologue at the end of the month!

If You love Yuri! It's your time to get quiet and cozy, Cause the lovely tea drinking, mochi munching lady of the hour is here! And with her arrival to the mod, that means the Prologue is almost finished, and once its been proof read and adjusted, It'll be released to be played!!!!!
The next few updates will include new little teasers, and fun facts about this new DDLC universe I'm developing, so I hope you're strapped in for my first and biggest project I'll ever undertake! (Also, theres an extra teaser of Monika and Sayori, for those who love Macaron's and Cinnamon Buns~)

Fun fact time: Sayori is a Cinnamon Bun, Monika is a Macaron, Natsuki is a Cupcake, Yuri is Mochi

(This was going to be arbitrary fun Fannon stuff, but I've now decided it will be important, and on your test.)

People clearly liked the Teaser for Sayori, our dear cinnamon bun, So I figured I might as well share my favorite line from the class with Natsuki! She uh... doesn't reallllllyyy like MC, but it'll all work out, hopefully~

This is just a taste of the initial Sayori dialogue for Day one! I've never written for other people, so obvs I'm a little nervous! But regardless, It's one of five events that will happen during the Prologue! With about half of the mods Prologue scripting done, It's running at about half an hour, with the main goal post being a full hour! You'll get to meet all the girls and learn a little how they'll act, So hopefully you get excited for the full release of the Prologue!!!

I've been working hard, and honestly the only teaser I've given was the intro screen I'm working on, and the logo. So here's more! The first two days of the Prologue will be focused around meeting everyone! Day(technically night) one is MC himself! and Day 2 is meeting all the girls, and getting to know their personalities! (I'm trying to be as faithful as I can, while adding my own little bits to how they talk and act~) And remember, a Bite from your friendly vampire never hurt anyone, yet~

okay so...? It kinda works? It launches just fine when I launch it through Ren'Py, but that image comes up when i launch it on its own. So I still need help figuring that out-

I guess I didn't update my Ren'Py version, Silly me, AMR???

Needed to rerun the whole thing through Ren'Py 7.3.5 for it to update everything, now works like a charm!

Tried upgrading my Ren'Py to 7.3.5, so I could use MPT. This is my current problem immediately upon startup. If anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate the help. Currently looking for solutions as well-

I also should mention, this is off a fresh download, so I havent touched any of the files or anything yet-

Aside from that, I'm figuring out how to adjust the menu buttons (If anyone has help about that, I'd appreciate it immensely!)

I'm about halfway through the intro to the mod, I've started writing the first meeting for Yuri and Natsuki (technically its their first sighting in the story). I've got choices down and a direction for the Prologue!

(A small hint, itll be like act 1 to the story, though you'll get pretty good intros to the girls and their stories, including the home life for them, which are all more or less custom stories!)
