Can contestants make conversation with the crew?

So as we know, the contestants have a small crew that stay with them but cannot help or give advice. But I wonder if they’re allowed to make casual conversation? If you’re travelling with the same people for weeks on end, surely you wouldn’t only be talking to your fellow contestant?

What would grow to hide the fence?

Looking for recommendations on what would grow in the shade in these two spaces between the trees (mango and orange). Ideally something that would grow taller or on a lattice to hide the house behind us. I’ve also always wanted a fairy garden and a veggie patch for my kids. Would any of this be possible? We’re in South West Sydney and the garden is west facing.
