What's one rule you'd add to Race Across the World to make it even more interesting?

Not a huge format change.

Just one extra rule or challenge you think would make teams think differently without taking away what makes the show great.

Don’t know if this has been discussed before…

…but does anyone else find it really easy to work out who’s in first place when they’re showing two or more teams trying to find the checkpoint, purely by working out which one is earlier in the day due to the position of the sun, and general lightness vibe?
They try to mask it with filters, which is also a giveaway, but for me they need to think of a better way to maintain suspense at this stage because it’s always obvious who’s first.

RATW Celeb Season 4

If this is accurate I really am stoked at Sam Ryder and Jeff Sterling, should make for a very fun series.

To save a click:
Sam Ryder and his tour manager Kaz
Jeff Sterling and his son
Ella Eyre and ???
Junior and Princess Andre (no i have no clue either)

Unfair advantage

Just finished watching the latest series and was struck by how Jo and kush were able to use the fact a lot of young women fancied them, and older women wanted to mother them, to their advantage in the race.
To me it seems a very young couple of either boys or girls (who aren’t in a relationship, just friends) will always have a unfair advantage over a couple of crusty old sloggers like Margot and mark, who no one would ever want to help.
Is there something in this take?

What scene from the show lives in your head rent free?

Ill go first. Celebrity season 2. Jeremy and Kelly Brook. When theyre running to the checkpoint and she cant keep up with her bag so he takes it off her and runs with one bag in his back, the other on his chest. I looked at my husband and asked if he would do that for me.

The fanny may have fluttered a little.

If you were selected for the next series tomorrow, what's one personal habit do you think would help you and one that would probably ruin your chances?

I think I'd be pretty good at staying calm when plans change. On the other hand, I'm terrible at making quick decisions under pressure, which would probably cost me more than anything else.

Does anyone actually watch The Detour companion show?

I noticed they introduced The Detour alongside this series. For those who've watched it, is it actually worth it, or is it mostly just extra chat and recycled clips? I really like the main show and don't want to ruin the magic if it doesn't add much.

Worth sticking on after each episode?

How do some of these teams manage to stay so clean on a twenty pound daily budget?

I am watching them run through train stations in Uzbekistan and sleep on overnight buses in the absolute freezing cold and somehow they still look relatively put together. If I had to travel across eight countries with just a single rucksack and twenty three quid a day I would look like an absolute swamp monster by week two

What's one travel habit you've picked up because of Race Across the World?

Even something as simple as travelling lighter, speaking to more locals or planning journeys differently. Has the show changed the way you travel at all?

Do you think you'd actually enjoy the race, or just like the idea of it?

I love watching the programme, but every episode reminds me how much waiting around, uncertainty and long travel days there actually are. Part of me thinks I'd love it, and another part thinks I'd be exhausted by day three. Anyone else feel the same?

How would you feel about a USA season? Maine to Alaska?

Zigzagging through the US, could be interesting for a country so reliant on aviation. Buses and hitchhiking it is…

The flight from Augusta to Juneau is only around £700 which makes it more challenging given how expensive things are in the US!

Can contestants make conversation with the crew?

So as we know, the contestants have a small crew that stay with them but cannot help or give advice. But I wonder if they’re allowed to make casual conversation? If you’re travelling with the same people for weeks on end, surely you wouldn’t only be talking to your fellow contestant?

Which past Race Across The World team would you most want to travel with?

Across all the seasons, there have been some brilliant teams with very different approaches to travel. If you had to pick one person or team to join for a race, who would it be and why?

New series application

Has anyone heard back who applied? I know it said if you’ve not heard by June 30th then you’re unsuccessful but wonder how much longer they’ll contact potentials!!
