I have been trying to find a roommate for almost two months now. I’ve mainly been using facebook marketplace but most people who make inquiries never follow up or don’t meet my requirements of a female roommate with no kids. I’ve tried apps like roomie, craigslist and spareroom too to no avail. It’s almost the end of the month and I don’t want to end up paying this rent by myself or worse, face eviction. is there anywhere else to hunt for roommates in bakersfield where people are serious about moving in?

Does anyone smell a weird acrid burning scent outside? I‘m in NW Bakersfield. Just wondering if there’s a fire somewhere or if I need to make sure there’s not an electrical problem in my apartment lol.
