FSU Next Program
I’m very confused on what classes I need to take at TSC in the fall to still be eligible to transfer to FSU in the spring. Here are the requirements for the program I’m doing:
FSU Next Program Requirements
Enroll and successfully complete a minimum 12 semester hours of graded coursework at Tallahassee State College in the fall.
Earn a minimum 3.0 fall term grade point average (GPA) with no grade below a C at TSC.
Earn a grade of "Satisfactory" in the in-person, one credit hour "Gateway to Garnet and Gold" course at FSU in the fall.
Complete ENC 1101 (English Composition) and either MAC 1105 (College Algebra, preferred math), MGF 1130 (Mathematical Thinking), or MGF 1131 (Mathematics in Context) depending on math placement and the major's math requirement, unless comparable or higher-level course credit through AICE, AP, CLEP, IB and/or dual enrollment has been earned.
I already have 50 credits from dual enrollment, which includes ENC1101, ENC1102, and math courses up to pre calc. Based off of these requirements could I just take whatever classes? Looking at the academic map from FSU I’ve already taken all the recommended classes for the first term besides Calculus which I plan to take if the class isn’t full. Is it recommended that I take easier classes this semester? But also on that note I feel like I already took a majority of the easier classes with dual enrollment. Any advice would be helpful.
