Google Play Organization account will be removed Aug 20 while D&B company update is still pending — any way to get an extension?
Hi everyone,
Looking for advice from anyone who has dealt with Google Play developer organization verification and D&B updates.
Our client has an Organization Play Console account for Canada with two production apps and existing users.
Play Console currently shows:
“Your developer profile and all apps will be removed from Google Play on August 20, 2026.”
The verification problem is caused by outdated company information in the Dun & Bradstreet record.
The company information itself is legitimate and we have current official Canadian documents showing the correct details, including:
- Corporations Canada Certificate of Amendment
- Recent Canada Revenue Agency statement showing the current company name and address
- Corporation number and legal company details
We already submitted a correction request to D&B on August 10 and have an active D&B support case, but the update is still being processed.
I have now also raised a new Google Play Developer Verification support ticket requesting either:
- An extension beyond August 20 while D&B processes the update, or
- Manual verification using the official government documents.
Has anyone been in a similar situation?
Specifically:
- Has Google granted a verification deadline extension for a pending D&B correction?
- Can Google manually verify the organization using government/company documents?
- If the D&B update isn't completed before the deadline, is there any other safe way to prevent the production apps from being removed?
- Has anyone transferred production apps to another verified Play Console account before a verification deadline and transferred them back later?
I don't want to make any risky account changes unless absolutely necessary since these are existing production apps with active users.
Any recent experience with this process would be really helpful.
