It's the only illustrated edition I've even considered forking out for because I'm such a dork for anything canon Draco... I pre ordered and I have to say I'm hugely disappointed.

It was a risk pre ordering with change of artist, and I'm not crazy about his style, but I thought there was some great Draco content that could be brought to life through his art. Damn was I wrong.

Draco only features in four illustrations; one full-page portrait, his back as he faces the mirror in the Sectumsempra scene (I thought we'd at least get the beautifully dramatic, blood-all-over-the-floor shot), and then a couple of smaller/background shots in the Lightning Struck Tower.

I feel like the film does his material better justice and that's saying something... Clearly my expectations were too high, so if any other Draco fans think of buying for the same reason I did, I'd recommend having a flick through first!

Something I've wondered about since before CC even came out...

I know technically they'd have attended Hogwarts together, but I find it unrealistic that she'd have been on his radar at all back then, bar maybe knowing of her in passing. And relationships never seemed high on his agenda (and wouldn't have been from mid-HBP onwards, certainly).

I always half assume they'd have met through some pureblood social gathering - but we know the Malfoys were ostracised, and I'm not convinced that post-HBP Draco would've shown his face somewhere he well knew he wasn't wanted.

Anyone got any interesting head canons on this?

Happy birthday Draco Malfoy. Love or loathe him, what are your favourite moments of his from the books/films? What are you hoping the HBO show gives us that the films didn't?
