Flavorless rotisserie chicken in New Milford ShopRite

Why, after complaining several times, does the rotisserie chicken in New Milford SR remain pale and flavorless?!!!

Some days it’s cooked beautifully and well seasoned, other times, like yesterday 10/5/26, it was absolutely gross. Can you please see who was cooking them yesterday and maybe move them to another department?!

I’m BEGGING AGAIN…Can someone PLEASE train the staff to properly cook the chickens. At $8 I would expect consistency. They don’t even have a bit of seasoning on them. Absolutely tasteless!

Not to mention, undercooked chicken is a health concern. At times there has been pink near the bones.

Has anyone else complained?

Best NEW spot for Korean BBQ

My husband and I just went to the BEST restaurant for Korean BBQ. I feel the need to tell everyone about this place, it was THAT good.

Sendai recently opened in River Edge, after a long awaited opening. Well, all I can say is it was worth the wait. We haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since we went on Saturday.

It was our first experience with Korean bbq, and we were worried about not knowing what to do. Our waitress (the owner) gave us an amazing first experience. She suggested a couple of different dishes. We decided on the Marinated Short Ribs and Prime Brisket. We also ordered a Spicy Kani salad, which was absolutely delicious, with the perfect amount of spice.

She started up our bbq and brought out an enormous amount of sides for dipping and topping. She explained to us what flavors worked well together, and how to properly eat our meal. She cooked our meat to perfection, and even assembled bites for us that she put on our plates. I was ready to open my mouth like baby bird and let her feed me 🙃

Every single bite was better than the next. Such interesting flavors with lots of umami. The meat was melt in your mouth tender. I ate so many different things, and loved every single one. She was such a lovely woman, she brought out a couple of complimentary dishes for us to try. The steamed eggs, which were fabulous, and not something I would ever think to try. She also gave us a soup with spicy beef and tofu that was excellent as well. (I swore I hated tofu, so that was a surprise).

Guys, this place is worth the visit. It’s beautifully decorated and inviting. Exceptional food, which we have found hard to come by lately in our area. It’s also BYOB, so bring some Sapporo or wine! I really want to spread the word for them because it’s hard as hell to get a new business established. The place wasn’t busy on a Saturday night, and it should be! The owners are the most kind people. We really enjoyed chatting with them after our meal.

Next time you’re looking for a great new restaurant to try, that also is a fun experience, think about giving Sendai a try.
