is botox good, bad, or neutral for BVD?

hello! basically the subject.

for the last two years i've been getting botox to treat my chronic migraines, which are probably in no small part caused by my BVD. i've had prism glasses for a few months now, and i've started to suspect that the botox may not be helping my BVD symptoms.

fwiw, i have asked my eye doc and neurologist what they thought, but neither could say for sure. i would be appreciative if anyone who's had botox could share their experiences. thanks!

edit: i've seen that botox can be used to treat strabismus, but this is not the type of BVD that i have.

How many Rx adjustments to prisms before stabilizing?

Hello! Diagnosed with BVD a few months ago. Been suffering from migraines and headaches since I was about 6. That, along with neck, jaw, shoulder, and facial pain have been my biggest symptoms.

I got my first prism glasses over two months ago. After a few weeks, my vision got blurry. I got a second Rx due to progressive relaxation. This second pair I've had about a month, and my vision is again feeling "off" with a resurgence in symptoms. I've scheduled a followup with my eye guy, but I'm curious to hear from others--was your first Rx your final Rx? If not, how many adjustments did you have to get?

Thanks!

*If relevant--I have vertical and horizontal correction, with a total of about 7 diopters, which I understand is a fairly significant about of prism. Doc said I have probably had these issues my whole life (33 now).
