Does anyone know if ultraviolet pods are really cleaning & eliminating mold ,bacteria etc..... or are the doing more harm in the long run on the dentures

Why do my dentures have to be the size of a bar of soap?
Ok so my question is why do my dentures have a full top plate , but when I see pics on here they all seem to be just a horde show shape without all the extra which only collects food % kills food flavor
