Residential Campuses and Reading Rooms

Every day I see a new residential campus or a reading room open up here in Kerala. Earlier this year couple of my friends started one and i was very cynical about it. Because when i ran the numbers the margin was very slim and reading room is such a non scalable business. Buy despite all this i see plenty opening up and I was just wondering if it is that enticing as a business?

Have you guys been to such institutions? Are they useful?

Which is the best Residential Campus you have been to?
