First time camping with my toddler

My 2 y/o was thrilled most with playing in the dirt, looking out for birds, walking around the campground, roasting marshmallows, jumping on the camping pad in our tent, and throwing dried rosemary into the fire periodically.

Did he & I eat about 4 cinnamon rolls together? Yeah. Did he stay up till midnight? Yeah. Will I ever recover from witnessing his sheer DELIGHT at seeing us roasting marshmallows over the fire & then learning how to do it himself? Never 😭

Hoping we camp as a family at least once a year!!! (3x a year is my personal goal lol.)

FIFA World Cup watch party

Trying to head to SJ, the town, or the city to watch the Mexico vs Ecuador match on Tuesday 6/30 @6pm! Though I get people will recommend local bars or taquerias, I’m intentionally looking for a larger World Cup watch party experience! Trying to surprise my husband for a date night as he loves soccer!

Online sources recommend San Pedro Square in SJ but I’m nervous about HOW early to get there considering blocked streets and high traffic. Also Santana Row, though those seem to be more so individual restaurants playing the game on their TVs. For SF, China Basin or Thrive City seem to be it?

Appreciate anyone sharing recs or even their experience going to the aforementioned spots - Thank you!

Fav yame matcha?

I love nutty flavs and have been itching to try some yame matcha, but am curious about others’ recs outside of Nami? For reference I’m in the U.S. and typically aim to spend max $1 per 1g lol. Lemme know if that’s even a reality in any way.

Anyone try matcha from Omma before?

He got me the specialty reishi 20g for a whopping $70, but was ALSO charged an import fee of $74??? We live in the Bay Area in California. Anyone also ever get charged import fees? Gonna try it out later today for the first time!

I always decant cuz I can’t handle the mess of when you’re towards the end, so I turn the leftover powder in the foil into a cold foam - double matcha!

Tabi socks

Anyone find any solid tabi socks (big toe separated) that are affordable and come in a pack? I just can’t personally get myself into toe socks, but tabis are great for me. I’ve tried Daiso socks (prefer crew length over ankle length) & this brand (way too thin for my liking). I’m in Californiaaaa~

Dove headlong into minimalist shoes last year, and I found myself loving some and regretting others.

LOVE: Shamma Pacific Avenues, Lono Ezy

REGRET: Xero Z-trek, Xero Prio (too thick/heavy feeling for me, though I like the neutral New Balance-y look)

Which are your loves and regrets when it comes to your barefoot/minimalist shoe journey? And what do you typically do with your regret shoes?

New to this sub! I’ve been sloooowly transitioning to nontoxic/low-tox stuff, and I finally decided to change out the watch band considering how often I workout. Just wanted to share my code if anyone else was interested in trying Braxley’s GOTS-certified organic cotton watch bands!
