Airport to hotel at midnight

We will be arriving on a Friday night at 12:10 am. What's the safest way to get to Hyatt in the French Quarter? They don't have an airport shuttle. We are a family with two little girls, 6 & 8.

Appreciate your help. I am a little worried, wondering if we should rebook a diff flight.

I am stuck in (CANCEL+REBOOK) x 3 already; is this normal?

I booked Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver BC for 2 nights towards Jul end. It was above our budget $1950, but we were ok due to $300 annual credit + $250 The Edit & points & PMG ($140). We all are excited about staying here...our first time.

However, I feel like I am stuck in a loop, every time (almost every 2-3 days) I check for the same room, same cancellation policy and it is $50-$100 lower in total cost; I cancelled and rebooked 3 times already. I am at $1630 now. Still have ~3 more weeks to go for the travel.

  1. What is the strategy you all use to find the lowest deal? Do you keep checking every day?

  2. Regarding PMG, I was concerned about submitting screenshot every time I rebook. However, it seems to be a smoother process, no issues. But I did notice that they randomly match only ~90% with no explanation or anything. I can confirm that it is the exact same room type, same beds/view, same cancellation policy. Any idea why the discrepancy in matching?

Thanks for your insight!
