“Ultra MAGA” on a German car built in Mexico

The title explains itself. I found this while scrolling through a comment thread on a post by Volkswagen on FB celebrating Happy World Beetle Day. Also: the owner didn’t do a good job blurring out the plate, so I used the Reddit features to correct the fact that the Facebook OP did a bad job at covering her license plate. To the owner: talk about the irony of celebrating American pride and being America First when you own a German car made in Mexico.

Spotted in Bowling Green, KY

This was parked in front of my car as I pulled into the parking lot at my work (my car is the Ford, and its reflection is visible on the tailgate).

Connecticut State Police Ford Mustang

Another agency added the Mustang to its fleet. This time, it’s Connecticut, joining neighboring New York and states like Florida and Missouri in utilizing the S650 Mustang.

Stanced and turboed 2016 Volkswagen Golf SportWagon with 170,000 miles and a GTI interior, the official car of?

This car has been turboed, but still has the stock clutch, which has held up to 300 horsepower instead of the factory 170 it was rated for. Water pump replaced at 70,000 miles (water pumps are notorious for issues on newer Golfs/GTIs). Turbo replaced at 120,000 miles because the waste gate broke. The factory lights’ clearcoat is peeling. The car has GTI fenders in the front because it’s stanced, and the factory fenders were damaged from being so low. Gas door color doesn’t match due to it being wrapped in vinyl to make it look good because of the peeling on the gas door. The interior bits have been swapped to make it a GTI interior. Engine oil is leaking, a common issue with Gen 3 TSI engines. Both front wheel bearings and one rear have been replaced. A blower motor went bad, something that will sometimes go bad. All of the repairs have been DIY owners, and most of the $2,100 in repairs went to the turbo. Battery replaced a few times over the years. Like most 1.8T cars, they burn oil, and the owner must add 1 quart every 2,500 miles. If you combine maintenance and repairs, it comes out to about $5,600-$6,200 estimated (all DIY; going to shops would increase that). The subframe has came in contact with many driveways due to how low the car is. Suspension work was done 100,000 miles ago.

Bowling Green, Kentucky Police Recruitment 2026 Dodge Durango

A second recruitment vehicle has been made for the BGPD, utilizing the Durango. Built by Ridgenet Public Safety Solutions, the same company that helped put an all-black Durango on the streets of Bowling Green, and it will more than likely make an appearance at a career fair or career/college day at a local school or college.
