Wallahi I will not watch corn or fap intentionally till the end of the month

This method seems to be working for me so far. I initially said to myself wallahi I won’t for 10 days and this has helped me not give in where I normally would’ve.

I realised if my life was on the line I would never fap, which shows I have the ability, so I’m doing this so I can simulate such a high stakes environment. I know I won’t break my promise to Allah so this is why it works.

Now I’m pushing on till the end of the month. By Allahs greatest names I will not watch corn or fap intentionally until the end of this month.

I’m making this post so this is now public too.

10/21 days completed so far.

What’s everyone doing to prep beyond practise tests?

It would be nice to share anything of benefit. Any resources / material.

I’ve personally just been researching more about the industry, brushing up on some aviation fundamentals and learning more about the job of a pilot on YouTube.

Anyone been doing anything that they’ve found beneficial?

So I know what you're thinking. Hear me out though.

Flying was never a childhood dream and honestly, I'm still not aviation-obsessed now. I don't spend my weekends plane spotting or watching cockpit videos. But I genuinely would love to be a pilot, and cannot think of a single other career I'd rather do, and I'm taking the application seriously.

On paper I'm strong – Top grades, impressive work experience, solid mindset. The part I'm struggling with is the motivational stuff. Everyone else applying has basically wanted this since the womb and lives it in their spare time. I need to build genuine depth around why I want this, not just rehearse a script, since I know they have the experience to sus me out if I just manufacture an answer.

What resources actually helped you understand the industry in depth and the job properly? Books, podcasts, YouTube, forums– anything that gave you real insight into what life as a pilot looks like day to day. I want to be able to answer the why question authentically, not just say "I've always loved planes."

In the Qur’an, Allah warns us with punishment and Hellfire, but also gives hope through His mercy and Jannah. That balance is powerful.

But most advice from people is too soft. Over time it makes sin feel comfortable and get lost in despair. Sometimes you don’t need comfort — you need a reality check.

I’m looking for harsh, no-excuses reminders to read when I get urges. Not soft motivation — something that actually snaps me out of it.

Don’t hold back. I want it blunt and confronting.

Examples of the tone I’m after:

“Are you really going to get played by shaytaan? This only benefits him”

“You want Jannah, but look at what you’re about to trade it for — a moment that won’t even satisfy you. You know you’ll regret it, and you still do it. Wake tf up.”

“ You’re picking your desires over Allah. If you do this you are admitting your desires matter more than obeying Allah!”

Please drop some reality checks below 🤝
