Do you think this take is funnier than the "they kicked Mario out of the friend group" joke?

Hot take: Even if we're out of the "Mario is evil" era, we're still treating him like a punching bag

From being excluded from crossover games to friendzone jokes, all this mocking should go to Nintendo, not Mario. We've gotten too comfortable making fun of him and it's such a tired bit.
This is like hating Mickey as a character himself and not Disney.

I wonder how much people will go with #1, genuinely or jokingly.

For the record, please don't mention the "Nintendo said they're just friends" bit.

Can we talk about Chuck's early design?

"hey let's make chuck look like a baby in the cutscenes unlike the actual in game sprites"

It's just a bit of a shame that this is likely the only Mario ship that gets scrutinized or mocked the most, in and outside the fandom

Don't even get me started on those who unironically punch this pair down to prop up another up (Luaisy, Powser, etc)

I noticed this regarding how MarioxPeach and LuigixDaisy are discussed in and outside the fandom.

Basically, whenever I see Mario and Peach trending, it's usually a scrutiny debate or people dunking on the ship for jokes.
Whenever I see Luigi and Daisy trending, it's usually just some nice ship or joke fanart.
Would this be some insight of which pair the general public/fandom prefers more?

Anyone still a bit salty how Mario being featured in the Tokyo Olympics was teased in the Rio closing ceremony but was scrapped because of COVID?

I hate jokes like this because not only is it unnecessary to compare the two, but joking about LuigixDaisy in spite of MarioxPeach like that comes from pure headcanon. It also brings up the same old arguments: Odyssey ending this, Luigi+Daisy statue that. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHICH PAIR IS MORE CANON

Anyone else made this connection?

Especially the scene when they were riding the mandibug and Luigi is being his wingman and encouraging Mario to ask Peach out, like how Little John is with Robin Hood and Maid Marian
