Moving from NJ to Long Island, looking for recommendations for a family of 5, husbands new office is in Westbury
My husband is starting a job soon based out of Westbury NY. Would be great for him to have a reasonable commute up to a 30 min drive. I work in midtown but am remote. If I do end up going back to the office, commuting to midtown would need to be possible. Kids are 5 yrs old, 3 yrs old, 4 months old. Looking to join a good school district, good community, good church. Looking for a nice town not too close to the water - not trying to get flooded, also prefer larger older trees as opposed to the south shore which has a more beachy feel. Any advice would be appreciated. Selling our house for around 700k in NJ. Aiming to pay between 750 and 950k. 950 on super high end. Community pool(s) and lots of parks also bonuses!
It seems like you can get more space in towns like Levittown, West Babylon, but I worry that’s too far from NYC transportation. Also I’ve read mixed reviews of the schools and towns.
