Found a new camera angle that lets you guys see the rack better! It’s a little more compress now how things are routed but basically as of now all my drum compression plus a bass line comes from hardware. The daw is mostly for fx and some eq.

Really love the fat chords coming out of the Microwave Xt in this track. Super emotional vibes. Super fat rhythm and bass coming out of the virus for a dope climax.

Starting to get my tracks louder in a clean way too. This one is clocking in around -5db integrated. Lmk what you think of this track! Recorded a couple days ago. Getting close to finishing this ep I’ve been working on. If you wanna check out the full track I’ll link it below!

This track has been kind of a pain in the ass but felt like sharing lol. First time trying out the symmetrix 501 and got a nasty bass line out of it. Still finalizing the mix/effects on this one but its in a solid place. Love how spooky it is Lmk what you think tho! Full vid in the comments. Thanks.

The virus is doing most the heavy lifting, the microwave has taken a back seat for more ambient/textural elements.

New track! Dont want to spam but it seems like you guys like the jams! This one is a little more laid back but I’m super happy with how it came out. Still super vibey and layered. Really hypnotic and more patient. Starting to make more bass focused music lately. Havent used it yet but just picked up a symmetrix 501 to run my synth bass lines thru , excited to see how that goes.

The microwave xt has been taking more ambient/distinct sounds go support the virus but the virus is definitely still doing most the heavy lifting. Lmk what you guys think or if you have questions about the set up! Full vid linked in the comments

Wanted to share a clip from my latest session! Starting work on a new project. Slowing it down a bit more, focusing on grooves. Hope you like! I added some embellishments in post but this was the recording of the track. One of the hats is running through a roland sde 1000 delay, and I edit the feedback love throughout the track which is new for me. Kick is thru a dbx 160a and hats thru a drawmer dl241.

New jam! Diving deeper into the mixes. Changed up some audio routing , now the synths are all in stereo save for 2 channels on the virus that are in mono. One of those channels is running thru a sde 1000 rack delay, the other is kind of a utility channel. Kick drum and hats are running thru a modded dbx 160a and drawmer dl241 respectively. Really loving the sound on this mix this was one of the quickest masters I’ve ever done for a sound like this. Might make some minor changes but this track is gonna be a part of a project I’m releasing next week! Would love to hear what you think. Full video on YouTube is linked in the comments! Going deeper into more textural work been loving the pops and crackles. I like making sounds feel more physical. The kick from the jomox is running thru a modded dbx 160a and 2 hats are running thru a modded drawmer dl241. Good outboard gear really gives your tracks some life!

Started building a rack and I had no idea think Id be so into it. Love this sht!!

Slightly different in this video but currently have a couple motu 828mk3s, a modded dbx 160a and a modded drawmer dl241 by revive audio. This isnt an ad but they sound soo good. you should look into them if modded gear is your thing.

The dbx 160a is on the kick drum from the jomox. Didnt have the drawmer installed yet but thats going to handle the main closed/open hats from now on.

Just got a rack for the microwave! Found out the jomox can fit right above it so im definitely excited to start building it up from here. Have plenty of thought on the zoom l6 max , but i think I’ve outgrown it , gonna get rid of it. Maybe my desk too. honestly more convenient than I thought having everything on wheels!
