I normally don’t like to be the armchair psychologist but I’m almost entirely certain that Harmony gave Ariel her “ocd and anxiety” that she now regularly berates her for. She’s basically held Ariel hostage for years, that situation would give anyone crippling anxiety. It’s so fucking sad, Harmony made Ariel this way and now punishes her and chews her out for it all the time. She’s awful.

This is mostly just a venting post. I’ve been working as an IA for a school district preschool program since the beginning of the school year. The end of the school year is approaching, and I’m depressed over the fact that I’ve barely been able to make it a month without getting sick since then. Sometimes it feels like I even get sick every other week, it’s ridiculous. I feel like I always either have a stuffy/runny nose, a sore throat, or a lingering cough, it’s ridiculous. I’m not a complete stranger to kid germs, I’ve worked as a para in elementary school classes and back then I got sick every now and then but this year is by far the most often. I guess preschool germs are just a different level that my body isn’t used to. I also feel the need to ask others, is it normal to get sick this often your first year working at a preschool? I’m feeling sad and discouraged and sometimes feel like I should just resign because I feel like my immune system should’ve improved by now and it feels like it hasn’t. I feel like I don’t have the immune system for this job. I’m thinking of quitting and trying to go back to being a para for older kids.
