Hi everyone,

I had my gallbladder removed May 2026 and have since dealt with Sphincter of Oddi Dysfunction (SOD, mostly at night and stress induced). My doctor and I are looking into the oral Wegovy pill (daily oral semaglutide), but I’m really nervous about potential biliary or digestive side effects.

For anyone here who has SOD/ post-cholecystectomy issues:

Have you tried oral semaglutide?

Did it trigger any SOD flares, upper right quadrant/epigastric pain, or biliary spasms?
