Great uncle’s WWII find

The story goes my great uncle (Canadian) found this in the ruins of a bombed or burnt down house in Germany during WWII. I’ve been told it was warped when he found it because of the heat of the house fire.

I don’t know if these are the best pictures, I can’t get my phone to focus any more on the hallmark, but does anyone have an idea of the era? My guess is Edwardian because of the filigree, but I really don’t know. And what is the stone in the center, maybe amethyst?

Thanks :)
