Suggestions for hot weather undergarments

I'm traveling to India in a few weeks. I'm of Nordic descent and have always had issues with heat. Now I'm postmenopausal, this intolerance has increased noticeably.

I'm looking for suggestions for underwear that is cooling and cuts down on chafing, as well as any ideas for bras, good walking shoes/sandals etc that will keep me as cool as possible.

I will be taking a fan and a shade umbrella, but I welcome any other tips that could make this a more comfortable journey!

Meniere's and blood sugar fluctuation

Hi all,

I have found, over the six or seven years I've had Meniere's, that eating something really helps stabilize me. I'm 62 and have never shown signs of diabetes, but more and more often, when my blood sugar starts to drop (I have ADD and sometimes forget to eat for awhile), that pre-dizziness ( like my head is in a wringer) comes on. If I ignore it further, I'll definitely start getting dizzy.

Anyone else notice this? It's getting so I don't want to leave the house without snacks.

Looking for a specific old pattern drafting book

Hi, I went to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising waaay back in 1984. They had this big pink book they gave to every design student, with all kinds of clear descriptions of various pattern techniques, and drawings that looked like they were from the early 50s.

Somewhere along the road, that book and I parted ways. I'd like to buy another one, even if it's hard to find. It had a really simple cover, was a bland pink, and probably weighed 10 lbs, it was such a tome.

Does anyone know the name of this book?

11 mo post op and starting to feel knit-together

I haven't been really thinking about my tt, and I think that's a good sign! except when the cat walks on my lower abdomen and I feel that alien thing of pressure but no sensation 😂

There are definitely imperfections. One side is just a *little* bit smoother than the other. The belly button is weirdly high. But honestly, at 62 I don't give a crap, I feel great, and at 11mpo, I'm starting to feel solidly connected to my lymph and skin.

My husband, who did not say word one about what he wanted before the surgery, can't keep his hands off me, and the mons lift has done something magical to my sex life which I won't go into but *I hope you all have the same*.

So, yeah. So glad I did it, and although I'm not a skinny young thing, I'm so very happy with my body these days.

Would it be crazy to break open an old unused septic tank?

Our septic tank was replaced before we bought our house. It's in a space between two buildings (the leach field is uphill, using a septic pump), and the old septic tank, a concrete box maybe 10x10 feet with manholes on top, is in the ground right next to it. We've lived in the house for 6 years now, and I'm tired of having this space that I can't plant anything on or use in any way (it's right in the middle of everything, ugly, awkward, and unfriendly).

Would it be crazy to hire a backhoe operator to break in the top of the tank (and maybe crack the bottom for drainage) and then fill it with dirt? I could have it pumped out first, of course, but I'd love to plant a fruit tree there, or at least have pavers and flowers. The tank is so close to the surface that there is a thin coating of gravel, and the manholes stick up, causing a tripping hazard. And because it takes up so much space, there are drainage issues (not enough absorbing space) as the water runs around it.

Thanks for any advice!
