So I’ve been looking to switch from the usual black fencing pants because it feels too constricting or tight in certain positions. I’ve always wanted to try those poofy pants since I hear it feels better to move around in them. What are the best ones on the market that are just as protective as the usual hema pants, with padding and all? Using it for longsword. I’ll also need to fit in some hard knee and shin guards
I tried looking up a club I used to visit whever I visited relatives in Vancouver, Blood and Iron with Lee Smith, but seems it doesn’t exist anymore. Granted, I’ve been away from the hema scene for a long time, but that is very surprising to me as they were quite (in)famous. What happened?
What clubs do you recommend here? I mainly fence longsword and messer, or at least I used to.
It's been awhile but I'm thinking of getting back into it. Back in the day I think the biggest tournaments were Longpoint and Swordfish, but then covid happened. What are the biggest ones these days?
Also, I seem to have lost my gloves. What are the best gloves now? Disappointed the Pro Gauntlet didn't make it.
