I Don't Eat Shrooms

I've done shrooms for a long time, and for the last 10 years I've only made hot chocolate with all the solid cubes filtered out.

Eating them gives me crazy stomach aches and the sweats, I think I might be allergic or something. I can't eat and enjoy the ride.

So I started using a double boiler on a light boil, chop up the shrooms with scissors into little chunks and throw them in the 1 cup of water I measure out for the hot chocolate. I usually let them soak for about 15 minutes and pour the water through a mesh strainer to remove all shroom material (dont forget to press to wring out all the water.) Mix in that packet and there's almost no mushroom taste. I hate tea so hot chocolate is the way to go.

My years of crazy high doses are over so a nice little 2g dry/ 20 wet is plenty for me. I've actually been sitting on some homegrown for 4 years so I wouldn't trust eating those anyways.🤮..

I dehydrated them and kept in a refrigerator all this time and they still hit pretty good. Im sure the potency is down but I'm actually surprised they still work. I tried to store some at room temp a long time ago and they lost all potency within a year.

Last night I did that method with just 1.9g on a light boil for 13 minutes and I even forgot to press out all the water so I left some behind 😔. But it was still a really good trip. Took a shower right after I drank it and they were already kicking in by the time I got out. The CEVs and body high were amazing. It's a typical drink trip, comes on hard and fast and doesn't last as long, but still 3-4 hours of pleasure.

So if you have problems getting sick after eating shrooms try to strain them out completely, you wont regret it.

And when I did it when these were fresh it was amazing. I'll have to get a grow going this year I miss it.

Happy tripping everyone!

Empire of Liberty by Gordon S. Wood

It's a long book that touches on the founding/early decades of the US. I just finished the first chapter, and what a great book to read during America's 250th. It really shows how off track we have gone 😆.

I enjoy books on American history and this one has started out painting a picture of the excitement of the new nation. I say it shows how off track we have gone because it quotes certain people giving reasons why the new country is so great. But I noticed that a lot of those reasons are no longer true.

In the first chapter it explains how Americans were so optimistic bout independence that they put aside differences and celebrated as one. The idea of all being equal, without ariatocrats, was inspirational to all. But soon after they found that this ideal nation was harder to establish than imagined.

It gives you an idea of how great the revolution was, and how it was celebrated and calibrated in the following years. The book itself doesn't talk about how we've gone off track, it's just my observations while reading.

There will be other subjects to come. It's a long book of more than 700 pages that covers the 1770s-1810s.
