League Rewards & Promotions Issue Resolved

League Rewards & Promotions Issue Resolved

Hey everyone!

We hit a small hiccup with this week's League reset on SocialPoker.gg — but it's already sorted and working as it should.

Next time you log in, you'll get a League results pop-up showing your placement for the week, with any missing promotions or Top 3 Gem rewards applied.

Mod hat off for a second...

I finally decide to take a coffee break.

"Perfect," I think. "Time to squeeze in a few hands."

Meanwhile, I'm scrolling through the subreddit seeing people hit three sets in a row and three full houses in eight hands.

Then I sit down...

7♣2♦

8♠3♥

J♦4♣

I swear poker knows exactly when it's my turn to play. 😭

[PLAYTEST] You’ve been breaking our bots — so we’re opening a playtest

Hey everyone,

We’ve seen some interesting ways players interact with the bots — including behavior we didn’t fully anticipate

Instead of just reacting to issues as they appear, we’re setting up a proper playtest to iterate on bot behavior using real gameplay data.

What’s changing

Bots are responsible for keeping tables alive when player count is low. The goal is that they should:

  • behave more consistently under different game states
  • be harder to exploit through unintended interactions
  • follow expected poker decision patterns more reliably
  • keep matches fun and engaging

We’ve built a preview build with a set of improvements, and now we want to validate it in real conditions.

Playtest setup

Players who join will get access to a Discord space where we:

  • ship iterative bot updates
  • collect structured feedback on bot behavior
  • investigate and reproduce reported issues
  • adjust quickly based on what we observe

Important

Once stable, these bot updates will also be rolled out to the Reddit version of the game.

So even if you’re not in the playtest, feedback still matters — we’re actively reading and taking notes from the community.

📌 How to join

Details are in the first pinned comment.

[NEW FEATURE] Gems are here — and yes, you're already sitting on 1,450 of them

Gems just dropped on SocialPoker.gg and the updated Store is live with it.

It’s all about drip, customization, and personality at the table.

Chips = gameplay.
Gems = drip.

And yeah you are already sitting on 1,450 Gems.

Enough to walk into the updated Store and instantly upgrade your look.

There are also a couple of new cosmetics in the mix: Profile Rings and Frames. They're a fresh way to flex your identity directly on your profile

New Reactions are here too. Some can be purchased with Gems, others unlock through Top 3 finishes, and some are available both ways.

You will earn Gems through gameplay. Quests and League performance keep your balance growing as you play.

And you will notice that not everything even needs Gems to unlock.

Just play and things will unlock as you go.

There is already a solid lineup to spend on: Card Guards in different styles, Premium Reactions, Profile Rings and more coming soon. This is just the first wave.

Go check your Gems balance. You are probably richer than you think.

[Game Update] Leagues + Table Chat are live!

This one’s been in the works for a while, and it’s finally live.

Two new features just dropped that change how sessions feel in different ways.

Leagues
Every hand you play now feeds into something bigger. Wins, losses, grinding sessions — it all counts. You climb divisions over time and always have more to play for.

Table Chat
Poker’s a social game, and now you can actually talk at the table. Chat between hands, react in real time, mess around a bit, and interact while you play.

That’s it for this drop.

It’s live now on SocialPoker.gg — more coming soon.

Leagues — a full breakdown of how the system works before it goes live

Leagues arrive this week on SocialPoker.gg.

Before they do, here's how the whole system works.

How you earn LP

Every hand you take to the flop earns you a League Point.

Win the hand and you earn more. Higher stakes pay more LP too, so climbing happens faster if you're already playing bigger tables.

Shootouts count as well, with a bonus for finishing in the top 3.

Play your normal game, and the points will follow.

How the week works

Every Monday at 00:00 UTC, the week ends.

Your LP decides whether you promote, stay where you are, or get demoted.

Then everyone goes back to 0, and the race starts again.

We know that sounds brutal, but that's kind of the point. No one gets to coast. Every week is a fresh competition, and every hand matters.

One division unlocks each week after launch. Everyone starts in Bronze, and Bronze never demotes. That gives the ladder time to spread out before the higher divisions become truly competitive.

The leaderboard

A lot of you have been asking for leaderboards, and every division has one.

Each division is split into groups of around 30 players, so you're not competing against the entire playerbase each week.

Watch yourself climb the leaderboard.

See who's promoting, who's holding their spot, and who's getting demoted each week.

Then fight to stay ahead before the reset.

You can even pick an emoji flair to show next to your name.

It gets harder the higher you climb

The early divisions are designed to push players upward. More players promote than demote.

That changes once you reach Platinum.

From there, more players fall than rise. Same tables, same cards—completely different pressure.

And Legend?

Getting there takes weeks of consistent play. Staying there is the real challenge. Most of the division turns over every single week.

What you earn

Finish in the top 3 of your division and you'll earn Gems.

The higher the division, the bigger the payout.

Climbing the ladder also unlocks exclusive cosmetics, including division rings and profile frames that show everyone how far you've climbed.

We're not showing everything just yet—but it'll be worth the climb.

We'll be sharing a few more details in our Discord server before launch if you want to follow along: Discord

Think you can climb out of Bronze in week one? 🃏

[UPDATE] Our biggest update yet is almost here — and we want you to see it first.

We've been building this for a while. It's the biggest update Social Poker has ever shipped, and it's landing on SocialPoker.gg next week.

Here's what's in it:

🏆 Leagues
The old Prize Track was great — but it had an endpoint. Once you finished it, there wasn't much left to push for.

With Leagues, every week is a fresh competition. You'll be matched with 30 players in your division, all competing on the same leaderboard. You'll earn League Points just by playing — cash tables, Shootouts, every hand that reaches the flop counts. At the end of the week, the top players are promoted, the middle players stay in their division, and the bottom players are relegated. As an extra reward, the top 3 also earn Gems. Then a new League begins, with a fresh group and another chance to climb.

There's always a new division to chase. And if you're in the drop zone, there's always a reason to fight back.

💬 Table Chat
Live chat is coming to the tables. Talk between hands, react to a bad beat, or try to get in your opponent's head — alongside the emoji reactions you already know.

We want this to add to the game, not take away from it — so moderation is built in from day one. If anything feels off, report it. We’ll be watching.👀

📋 Daily & Weekly Quests
Not everyone is chasing Legend — that's why Quests exist. Three dailies, three weeklies, refreshing automatically so every session has a purpose. Complete a full set and earn Gems. It turns "just a few hands" into a full night at the tables.

💎 Gems
Gems are a brand-new currency that ties everything together. Play and they stack up in your Inbox. Spend them on cosmetics and rewards in the updated Store.

And yes — there's an updated Store. There's a lot more in this update than fits in one post. We'll show the rest over the next few days.

All of this is coming to SocialPoker.gg next week. More details and previews dropping in Discord this weekend — come get an early look.

[WEB APP] Copy Balance Tool

Hey everyone,

Good news: your progress on Reddit is coming with you to SocialPoker.gg.

How to do it? Go to Profile > Settings and look for the Copy Balance button at the bottom of the page.

From there, you'll generate a code inside the Reddit version of the game. Then open SocialPoker.gg and paste it in the same spot. That's it.

Important note: this is not a link between accounts. It's just copying your progress from one place to the other.

Here's what comes over with you:

  • Your balance
  • Your card guards
  • Your XP

You'll also get a 500,000 bonus as part of this first import.

Just keep in mind: this can only be done once per account. So when you're ready, make sure you want to go for it.

If you'd rather keep playing on Reddit, nothing changes on your end. Your progress stays exactly as it is and the game keeps going as normal.

One more thing: starting today, there's no more waitlist. If you want to join SocialPoker.gg, just head over and create your account directly.

Looking forward to having everyone with us. We have a lot planned, and new features will keep coming as we build this out together.

Thanks for All the Feedback ❤️

Thanks to everyone who took the time to share ideas, bug reports, and suggestions. Going through the thread has been really helpful.

It’s been great to see how much overlap there is between what many of you are asking for and things we were already planning. Also interesting to see how some opinions have shifted as more players got hands-on with the game.

Now comes the fun part: sitting down with the team, going through everything, and figuring out what we can realistically bring to players in the near future.

On Reddit, our focus remains stability and making sure games run smoothly and at a good pace. We want the experience here to feel solid and reliable.

Most of the bigger features and new experiments will continue happening over on SocialPoker.gg, where we can keep pushing things further.

Thanks again for all the feedback. We really do read everything, and your ideas continue to shape where Social Poker goes next.

[BUG FIXED] Quick update on today's issues

Good news: it's fixed.

Thanks for bearing with us today.

Our devs were able to pinpoint the issue pretty early this morning, and had a fix ready shortly after. From there, it was a matter of getting the update through Reddit's approval process, which can take some time.

We know that made for a frustrating day, and we really appreciate everyone who stuck with us, sent screenshots, and reported bugs while we worked through it.

Days like today aren't fun, but they've also reinforced something we've been feeling more and more as Social Poker continues to grow.

Our focus on Reddit is stability.

This is where the game started. It's where the community is, and we want to make sure that experience stays solid.

At the same time, most new features and bigger improvements will be built for the web app. Not just because it gives us more control, but because it lets us move faster and finally bring some of the features you've been asking for for a long time.

The two go hand in hand.

Reddit is home.

SocialPoker.gg is where the game grows.

And we'd love to have you there too

[BETA] If You Could Add One Thing to the Game, What Would It Be?

A few days into beta and the feedback has already been really useful — bug reports, balance issues, small friction points we hadn't caught. You've been helping us ship fixes faster than we would've on our own.

A bunch of that's been happening on our Discord too — if you want to be more in the loop on the beta, jump in: [https://discord.gg/YcAs4K3d3c]

So. If you could add one thing to the game, what would it be?

Could be:

  • A new feature
  • A quality-of-life improvement
  • A social feature
  • A new game mode
  • Something that would just make you play more often

Drop it in the comments — we're reading everything and your ideas actually shape what we build next.

Oh and — more beta spots opening up later this week. Hope to see more of you in. Waitlist is here: [socialpoker.gg]

Reward bug fixed

Over the past few days, some players weren't earning reward chips, and the balance on the reward screen didn't always match the home screen.

We tracked it down and shipped a fix. As the game has grown, we started hitting some Reddit limitations that occasionally stopped account data from syncing properly. When that happened, chips you earned could fail to credit.

If you're still missing chips, drop a comment or send us a DM and we'll sort it out.

Big thanks to everyone who reported it. It genuinely helped us find the problem a lot faster.

One more thing: we're opening another wave of beta spots later this week. The web version runs a lot more smoothly, and we're excited to bring more of you in.

Want a spot? Join the waitlist at socialpoker.gg

No. If you played on Reddit, your chips and card guards come with you. Pick up right where you left off.

Anything to watch out for?
Just one — make sure you copy the right account. You only get to do it once.

See you at the tables. ♠️

The web version enters Closed Beta next weekend

We’ve been building the web version of the game for a while now, and next weekend we’re running its first Closed Beta.

Originally, we were aiming for this weekend, but we decided to move it back a bit so we can make sure the experience is in a better place before players jump in.

A big part of why we’re building it is stability. Yesterday’s issues were frustrating, and building outside of Reddit gives us a lot more control over performance, reconnects, game flow, and features we simply can’t support properly on the Reddit version.

And honestly, with everything that happened yesterday, seeing so many people trying to jump back in and keep playing was really encouraging. That kind of engagement means a lot to us.

Everyone who joins the beta will receive a Special Guard for helping us test things early.

If you already filled out the beta form, invites will start going out soon. We’ll also open up a public waitlist a few days before the beta kicks off for anyone who wants to join.

More details soon.

[Last Chance] Jack’s Wild ends soon. Shell Yeah is up next!

Jack’s Wild is almost over, so make sure to finish your missions and claim everything before the event wraps up.

Right after that, we’ll be rolling into Shell Yeah

Get ready for a new set of rewards to grind for!

[Heads Up] Hand Flags help us fix bugs way faster

If you hit a bug or see something weird during a hand, flag it through the Hand Log when you can.

  • Open the menu
  • Go to Hand Log
  • Find the hand
  • Tap the red flag
  • Leave a quick note about what happened
  • Submit

Takes just a few seconds, and it helps a ton. Those reports let us investigate the exact hand where things went wrong instead of trying to reproduce the bug blindly. Everyone who flags a hand gets a special Guard.
