While online shopping I vaguely remembered this sweater my mom used to wear. I asked her about it and she still had it! Just went to visit last week and she gave it to me ✨ I can’t wait to wear it!

First painting of my husband since we got married last year! Love him and love acrylic gouache paints! They truly are becoming my favorite medium, I am enjoying the watercolor washes and transparency that can be built up to opaque, without the reactivation.

This piece started with some shapes and chasing ideas I saw. I’ve been reading and listening to zen philosophy and the painting began to reflect that journey and the idea of finding inner peace / seeing true nature / being one with everything. I enjoy the illustrative nature of it and hope to expand on this style in the future!
