Why is everyone idealising Garrett so much? Sure he did the right things eventually but the trait of observation and thoughtfulness never stemmed from him. 1) Dean was the one who brought up the beer can as he realised Hannah didn’t drink for safety reasons 2) Dean told Garrett that Hannah needed to feel safe to be intimate 3) He had to be persuaded so much to go for her showcase (and took credit when Hannah asked about it - “of course I had to be there blah blah” etc. Idk none of the romantic gestures seemed to be coming from him in the genuine sense
MOST importantly, on the very day Hannah’s goddamn rapist was around her, he decides to make it about himself + breakup with her instead of being there for her? I was all for the punch! But then what about actually making her feel supported and safe? UGH. Lost all interest there on
