Is this too bright?

Is this too bright for 2.5mo daytime naps? He does not settle in the bassinet for long during the day without waking up (maybe 20-30 mins). Do I need to add a darker shade behind the curtains for total darkness?

Help! Independent naps

When did your baby start napping independently? I'm a FTM to a 2.5 mo baby and am returning to WFH when he is 3.5 mo. I accepted around week 5 that he wouldn't settle for bassinet naps and have contact/stroller/carrier napped ever since. I love the snuggles but am growing anxious about getting back to work and needing blocks of time to get focused work done. I work 8-4:30 M-F. Occasional video calls.

If there's one thing that I've learned, it's that no baby is "one size fits all" but was wondering if there's a general age range where I could be expecting some progress in this department. He sleeps 9+ hour stretches at night in the bassinet which makes this all the more confusing. 😅

I've accepted that I may need to evaluate my position with him but would like to give it a try. Having one or two longer naps a day that aren't on me would give me some confidence.
