I Got My First Bike!

For about a year and a half i’ve been looking at getting an expensive e bike, like the talaria or surron, but the biggest issue for me was the short mileage on them. I finally had the idea that maybe i should just get a bike.

Last week I passed my MSF course and i got this Ninja 650 for my first bike! I love how it looks, i love how it feels, and it’s just so much fun. Best decision i’ve made in a long time, and im happy to be a part of the club!

I’d greatly appreciate any tips for a new rider, any upgrades you’d recommend (like good quality frame sliders etc.)!

Ninja 500 or Ninja 650 for my first bike?

This week I am looking to get my first bike and I am stuck between which of these two I should go for.

For context:

  1. I plan on doing occasional drives in the summer from WV to NJ to vist family and friends who also ride. (About 190-200 miles) This wouldn't be very often, but something that I will want to be as smooth as possible when I do the journey.

  2. I am 5 ft 11 and about 130 pounds, im trying to decide if maybe the 500 would be enough for my current build.

  3. Friends said I will "grow out of it too quickly" especially with the long highway rides.

What are your guys thoughts for my situation?
