Além disso, estou considerando adicionar influência do clima, lama, chuva e neve. O importante é entender se isso realmente adiciona profundidade ou apenas complica o jogo.

I’m developing an RTS set in the Napoleonic era. I’m considering whether artillery should be a key unit capable of stopping advances with canister shot, or whether the focus should be more on squad-based tactics. What would work better for balance and gameplay?

This is a tactical strategy game set in the Napoleonic era, where the main focus is army command rather than economics. The emphasis is on morale and battlefield decision-making.

I’m planning to add formations such as line, column, and square, and I want to understand whether they are necessary and how strongly they should affect gameplay.

I’m also looking for feedback on artillery. Should it be a key unit or remain a supporting element?

Another feature being considered is weather, including mud, rain, and snow. The question is whether this would add meaningful depth or simply make the game more complex.

There will be no multiplayer, as the focus is on a single-player experience where tactics determine everything.

The project is inspired by campaigns starting from 1796 and aims to capture the feeling of commanding an army. The game is still in development, and feedback and ideas are welcome.

For us, this is not just an RTS. We deliberately moved away from base building and economy to focus on what truly matters - commanding regiments and making tough decisions. We aim to capture the spirit of Napoleonic warfare, where discipline, morale, and formation determine everything.

The game features tactical battles with infantry, cavalry, and artillery, along with the impact of fatigue, positioning, and terrain. You’ll also experience dynamic battlefields with weather and smoke that can shift the course of a fight. Everything revolves around command decisions, timing, and troop control.

The project is inspired by real campaigns starting from 1796 and is being developed with a focus on conveying the feeling of commanding an army in the chaos of battle. The game is in active development, and we welcome every idea.
