Most adored son-in-law

I've always seen discussions about how fathers in law don't like their sons-in-law, so I would like a discussion at the opposite pole. So in the whole Rinaverse, who do you think is the most adored son-in-law by his parents in law?

Personally I would say Bran, I mean he's definitely the only man who didn't have any tense or skeptical moments (even if we weren't shown that moment) when he met Kyle and Rai and he's easy to like

I would say that right after that, in second place would be Yulian, Sasha liked him since the day she met him, and Vaughn said that Kirill is warming up to him

And Niko because we know that Astrid liked him from day one, and Levi started to like him over time quite a lot

What do you think? Is there anyone else I can't remember or who is even more loved by his parents in law?

5 smash and 5 pass when it comes to MMCs

Smash

  1. Bran

  2. Kirill

  3. Kyle

  4. Levi (Before I get attacked, he's the only blond in the Rinaverse that I actually find attractive for my taste)

  5. Eli

Pass

  1. Kayden

  2. Xander

  3. Daniel

  4. Gareth (He's cool, but bratty boys aren't really my thing)

  5. Jude

Before some people get upset, I'm not saying that the people I put at pass aren't attractive, but they gave me a major ick personally

Feel free to tell me what your choices are

Father-son duo

  1. Niko and Kyle - I really like the dynamic between them and how Kyle made sure to give Niko enough trust and support to tell him absolutely anything. I think they have the most random and free conversations. I'm not saying Kyle is the perfect father to all his kids, and the fact that he supported Niko not taking his pills is obviously not a good decision, but he made sure to give Niko that trust that he can call him anytime and talk about absolutely anything

  2. Bran and Levi - I like the dynamic between the two, and even how Levi took into account what Bran prefers and could tell when he felt uncomfortable. Respecting his son's choices when he didn't want to talk on the phone. And I really liked Levi's advice when he talked to Bran. He's far from being the perfect father, but he definitely always offered him comfort, and Bran always looked up for him. And I love the idea of father-son cooking together as bonding time.

  3. Vaughn and Kirill - Vaughn is definitely the one who really doesn't have any trauma, and Kirill (along with Sasha) were the perfect parents with Vaughn and I loved the dynamic between them, especially since he always saw his father as an example. But the reason they're not higher is probably because Vaughn was hesitant and not so open about telling Kirill everything. But for some reason I didn't really have the same attachment to them.

  4. Creigh and Aiden - I like their dynamic and I have to admit that I like how Aiden acted as a father to Creigh (I can't say the same about Eli though) and that he supported his son in any decision he chose to make

  5. Jeremy and Adrian - I like them too and it was seen that Adrian tried to be a good father to his children. I would say I prefer him much more as a father than as a partner

What would be your top father-son relationships?

Who do you think are Rina's babies from each series

I'm not referring here to her favorite character per se, rather to that specific couple from each series that seem to be written with the greatest depth and emotion from Rina that they seem to be her babies

From LOG I have the feeling that there was much more depth in NikoBran as a couple and emotion, especially with the focus on Bran and how she hinted about the two throughout the entire series

From the Vipers series, Marcus and Preston seem to be her babies too from what I've browsed through the first two books in the series and how it seems to put the emphasis on Preston

Villain series, so far it would seem that Vaughn and Yulian were more emotional for her, especially the attention to Yulian's character

From the mafia books I would say Kirill and Sasha

From RES probably Aiden and Elsa, being the ones she focused on the most

I can't comment on the Empire series yet because I haven't finished it

So, who do you think are Rina's babies as couples based on the way she chose to write, talk and hint about these couples?

Why are people so upset about similarities?

As the title says, I want to understand why there is a big war between some fans over the fact that there are similarities between books or characters

Before saying that a certain fandom is toxic, I want to state that absolutely all books and series have some very toxic fans, so it seems wrong to blame only a specific category of fans, when this kind of toxic fans exist for any book. I have seen these types of fans for every Rina book

So anyway, both here on reddit and on tiktok, I see a lot of people who are upset when it's specified that there are similarities between books and characters, and I would like to understand, why so much upset?

I mean, I thought that until now it was established that Rina has a certain way of writing and that it can often be similar between many books, and even some sentences can be almost the same from one book to another. This is true for both MM and MF books

Most men are possessive and territorial, I haven't read all the Empire and Vipers books yet, so I can't speak about them entirely, but I don't think there is any MMC in the Rinaverse that isn't dark in one way or another, possessive, jealous and ready to kill for their partner.

There are similarities between women too, but the most common thing about most of them is that they are written to seem more helpless or even treated horribly by their MMC (Xander when I catch you). Obviously not all, but many of them were put in the shadow of their partner and obviously forgave their partners too easily

Each group or series has one or two psychos, a guy who is more humorous and goofy, one more analytical and strategic, one quieter, one more reserved and not so involved. It's something we've seen since RES, and if that's what inspires Rina, I don't see it as such a big problem that there will sometimes be similarities

So am I the only one who sees all this anger over similarities as unnecessary and that it's not worth insulting characters if some seem more similar to others while others may not perceive it the same way?

If you could enter in one of Rina books

If you could be transported directly into one or more of Rina's books for a few days and be part of the function, where would you want to be and what role would you want to play in that book? Just an anonymous observer who can see everything, one of the friends, a family member or someone else. What would you like to be able to do if you had the opportunity to enter one of the books
