Just lost one of my carnival goldfish, trying to figure out what went wrong
I woke up this morning and found him curled around the filter, and immediately unstuck him…and he fell to the ground, still alive and moving his mouth. Not sure what to do, I let him be…until the other goldfish started picking at him, then I relocated him into a smaller tank so he could be…then he just sunk and showed no signs of movement.
I got them at a carnival, the one that died had numerous black spots which I thought is just recovery from ammonia poisoning. Just yesterday he seemed fine. I got them a 55 gallon tank, have been feeding them, using prime to dechloranate, and have been properly performing a fish in cycle, checking for ammonia every 24 hours (which none had shown up yet, I checked right after he died as well).
Is there anything I did wrong? What caused him to die?
I apologize I’m upset over losing a goldfish, I wanted them to live for years but he was around for just a week in my house.
Won two goldfish at a carnival, looking for advice for ideal setup.
Hello,
So I had recently won two carnival goldfish this past sunday.
My only previous experience with fish is with betta fish, and thus I had leftover supplies. So I used my 5 gallon fish tank to house the fish, with a filter running and everything included.
However, upon further research I realized goldfish demanded a lot more, and I want to ensure they have the best life possible and I do everything right for them.
I attached a list of things I plan to buy from PetSmart tomorrow. The tank is 55 gallons and includes a decent filter and what not.
I realize they will grow out of this tank, however I am hoping it will get them by for the next year or two before I need to upgrade
If I am missing anything I need to buy or should make adjustments, please let me know. My budget is fairly limited, however I do have a little bit of leeway. The only thing I didn't add is a tank stand, simply because I cannot afford it right now. I do plan on buying one eventually, however my current goal is to get the fish into a healthier tank. From what research I did it seemed I could not use regular furniture (like a sturdy wooden desk) for the tank because it will weigh over 500lbs, if anyone has suggestions Id appreciate it .
I'm completely new to caring for goldfish, so any advice is appreciated.
I want to give them the best life possible.
Thanks,
Found a Dell CRT monitor with a cut VGA cable, looking for assistance regarding monitor pinout and which wires go where.
Hi, I attached all the info I have. I figured out the pin out for the replacement wire and recorded it, however I’m still unsure of which wires go with what. When looking online, the only info I could find were with monitors with different colored wires, any info is greatly appreciated!
Dell crt W/ cut cord (video?) looking for more information to lead to repair
Picked this up for free in the trash, tested it and it works, however the video cord is cut. Can’t find much info online, so if anyone has any suggestions I’d be greatly appreciated
