need advice

hi!! im an incoming grade 11 student and i could really use some advice.

for the longest time, my goal has been to become a cpa lawyer and eventually work in the us or canada (which sounds ambitious i know). because of that, ive been seriously considering applying abroad for college, but lately ive been questioning whether its even realistic.

i dont think my profile is bad, but i also dont think its exceptional enough compared to what i see online. for context, i studied at a public science high school for jhs and will be transferring to one of the big 3 universities (admu, dlsu, or ust) for shs

academically, ive done fairly well and have consistently ranked near the top of my batch. ive also joined a few national and international competitions in math, science, and english, where i mostly received silver, bronze, and merit awards (but never gold). as for leadership, ive held several leadership positions over the years and participated in journalism and research activities.

i know these arent extraordinary compared to a lot of applicants i see on tiktok, and i still have grades 11 and 12 to improve my application. i guess im just wondering if its still realistic to pursue studying abroad, or if i should focus on applying for colleges here in the philippines instead.

if youve been in a similar situation, especially as an international student who thought their application wasnt “good enough,” id really appreciate some advice. was it worth applying anyway? if you were in my position, what would you focus on during grades 11 and 12? also, when should you take the sat and ielts or toefl?
